Ink Components
The available components depend on the Safety Level Product that you purchase. Level 3 has the most quantity and option variety.
Notice that you can choose some of the components of your OwnInk (Optional Components), but others will be added for us to ensure ensure uniqueness, traceability and efficacy. Also, all the proportions are decided by our chemists. These are some of the Optional Components:
Component |
Description |
Safety Level in which is available |
Metal filings |
These particles can be detected under a magnifying glass or microscope. Iron and copper filings are simple to identify and to add to any ink, although the combination with other components makes a very safe OwnInk. | 1, 2, 3 |
OIPCTM: OwnInk Particulate Components |
The OIPCTM family was produced exclusively for our use. These OwnInk Particulate Components are particles of homogeneous characteristics, made with minerals, plastic and pigments. We have a large variety of these components. Their production method is patented by us. Their advantage is that they come in a wide variety of sizes, colors and textures, they are almost impossible to duplicate, and they can be identified at the microscope by any lab technician. | 3 |
Blue |
Blue pigment. Most of the inks are blue, and they are preferred for common documents. It can be combined with other colors to produce bluish varieties. | 1, 2, 3 |
Black |
Black pigment is preferred by most notaries. It will cover to the naked eye most chemical components that we can add for tracing purposes. It is very formal and widely accepted across the world. In some countries, Notaries must use only Black or Blue for official documents. It does not change much with time. | 1, 2, 3 |
Red |
It has a negative financial connotation, but it is a good color for stamping: very noticeable. We can mix it with other colors as wished. | 1, 2, 3 |
Green |
Same as above. | 1, 2, 3 |
All colour mixes |
Color mixes are very good to identify inks in a simple, fast way. If you sign in brown, you will be remembered and forgers will understand that they have trouble ahead. We do not rely on color alone. Colors change over time (ours less than most). Colors cannot be represented very exactly in PC monitors, and careful calibration is needed. Use our online tool to digitally mix colors until you find the ideal ink. The real ink will be very close to the digital version. |

Smell |
We can add floral or perfume smells to inks. It does not last for ever, but is a very personal touch and signals trouble for forgers. | 1, 2, 3 |
Ink color on a PC monitor |
See All color mixes above. Monitors are 95+% accurate to distinguish our colors over the Web. | 2, 3 |
